Sandy Davies
Chair
Sandy was a headteacher for 18 years in London and Essex. He has trained headteachers in the UK, China, South Africa and Ghana for over twenty years.
In Ghana, he and his team of volunteer trainers have now worked with over 600 school principals and local authority advisors.

Poobie Naidoo
Treasurer
Poobie has worked in education since 1978 including being Director of the Tendring Education Trust. He developed links with schools in the Ashanti District of Ghana largely through the British Council’s programme – Connecting Classrooms. He promoted partnerships between 50 British and Ghanaian schools and through his many visits to Ghana became familiar with the difficulties the lack of adequate toilet facilities posed to young people, in particular for girls.

Jacqueline Flynn
Secretary
Jacqui is a former secondary school teacher and has always worked in the education sector.
She has a very keen interest in supporting children and young people and has been involved with a number of UK children’s organisations on a voluntary basis for many years.
She became very interested in and concerned about the lack of toilet facilities in schools in Ghana and joined with the rest of the Loos For Learners Team to raise awareness and fundraise for individual school projects.

Keith Davies

Jonathan Rice
Jonathan is executive headteacher of a federation of four primary schools on the East Norfolk coast. He visited Ghana in 2017 alongside colleagues from Norfolk and has since maintained a close partnership with a school in Kumasi.

Madam Dorcas
Dorcas has been teaching in primary schools since 1999.
During her career she has taken on the role of Guidance and Counselling Coordinator in schools. Currently, she is headteacher at Ejisu Presbyterian Model Primary School in Ashanti Region.
Dorcas has also worked as a Girl Child Coordinator for many years.

Mavis Kyeme Nkansah
Mavis has taught in primary schools in Ghana since 1999.
She is very passionate about the younger generation and their up bringing, she is currently the Kindergarten Coordinator in Ejisu Presbyterian Primary School in Ghana.
Mavis worked closely with the Tendering Connecting Classrooms programme for more than a decade. In a previous role she was part of a team that supported a UK primary school in establishing a clinic for local villagers in Ghana.
